SAAP will offer a first-of-its-kind “Drones for Public Safety Mini-Accelerator” on May 4-6 and 11-13. This 2-week program will consist of sessions led by Aviation & Public Safety SMEs and is offered at no cost to Public Safety organizations.
The program will be hosted by the National Aerospace Research Technology Park in its continuing dedication to the advancement of regional aviation natural gas and special focus on Public Safety and is funded by a USEDA grant.
Participation is limited to 35 people, but additional sessions will be scheduled as needed. Participation is highly encouraged for:
- Local, Regional, State, and Federal Public Safety & Emergency Management organizations
- Department leadership / Strategic planners considering using drones at their department
- Part 107 pilots and others who participate in public safety activities using drones
